Have a plan but seize opportunities

I’ve always believed in having a plan, but also in seizing opportunities. When I was younger, I knew that I wanted to study engineering and that I wanted to study in the US.

But life later brought unexpected opportunities. Living in cities like Istanbul and Sydney being the perfect examples. Those experiences reminded me that while a plan sets the course, you want to make the most of what life throws your way.

Jack of all trades, master of one

As a consultant, I worked across a wide range of topics and as Chief of Staff in a scale up, I had to juggle an endless variety of priorities. But through it all, I’ve always had one anchor: a focus on commercial activities, guided by data. That mix of breadth and depth is what I bring into every project today.

Consultant 2.0

As Chief of Staff, I learned quickly that you can’t afford to focus on just one topic, there are always dozens of things competing for your attention. That experience reshaped how I see consulting. I told myself if I ever returned, I’d do it differently: less noise, more focus. To me, being a “Consultant 2.0” means stripping back to what really matters, not chasing every possible topic, but hammering the one or two issues that truly move the business forward.

Connecting the dots

I love to keep learning, sometimes just for the joy of it, sometimes in ways that stick. Each new project is another chance to learn, and over time I’ve found that connecting these diverse dots is what gives me perspective and creativity in my work.
